Locomotive 3007
I was commissioned to do a series of sketches/paintings following the restoration of this South African locomotive over 2 months for the new Museum of Transport which will be opening early next year (can’t wait). It was one of those dreams jobs, which was a total pleasure to do.

These are fantastic. Are you using watercolours in a moleskine though? – mine goes all crinkly when I try.

Ben – The lined moleskines wrinkly pretty badly using watercolours. I use the sketchbook type, it does warp slightly as you can see in the last scan.
Great comission and drawings. A question: did you worked them from photos? Some of the compositions make me think so
