Locomotive 3007 part 2

It was quite an open brief for the project, over the 2 months I would come in once a week to do most of my drawing in a sketchbook then work on larger pieces later, there would be 12 in all. I was asked to focus on the people working on the train as so [...]

Locomotive 3007

I was commissioned to do a series of sketches/paintings following the restoration of this South African locomotive over 2 months for the new Museum of Transport which will be opening early next year (can’t wait). It was one of those dreams jobs, which was a total pleasure to do.
I’ve put more pictures in my flickr [...]

Monorail

Getting some vinyl from Monorail record store.

Good Tokyo

Got a great poster about Tokyo in the post by the talented Luis Mendo of Good Inc. I’m hoping to go on a drawing trip maybe this year (depending on projects) but first need to do lots of research on when to go, where to say!

Poolga

JC of Poolga asked me to contribute a couple of iphone wallpapers. Being a stubborn European I did a version of the Earth wallpaper focusing on Europe rather than the Americas.

(I wonder what Cheryl thinks of having her name [...]

February and March

Central Station

After my life drawing class on a Thursday night I occasionally draw folk waiting for their train home while I wait for mine. Its quieter atmosphere than during the day with most staring at the noticeboard willing their trains to come sooner.

Tea and cake

I’ve lived in Glasgow for ages but never been to the Willow Tea Rooms. Like so many of Scotland’s main touristy things I’ve passed them by.
